Venkateswara Agarbati & General

Venkateswara Agarbati & General is located right on Station Road in Arundelpet. The address is 6/5/84, but most people just know us by where we are. Being near the station means there’s always a crowd and plenty of noise from the trains and the people rushing to catch them. We sell incense sticks and a bunch of other general items that people need. Our shop isn't very large, and it’s usually packed with boxes from the floor to the ceiling. It smells pretty good inside because of all the agarbati, which is a nice change from the dust on the street. We don’t have a big marketing plan or a fancy mission statement. We just open the shutters in the morning and see who comes in. It’s a lot of talking to regulars and helping folks find what they’re looking for. Sometimes we run out of something or the delivery is late, and we just have to tell people to come back tomorrow. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop around, just a reliable one for the people in Arundelpet. It’s a busy life on Station Road, and we’re right in the middle of it. We like the energy of the area, even if it gets a bit chaotic sometimes. We just do our best to keep the shelves stocked and the customers happy in our own simple way. There is always someone new walking in.
