If you want to find us at Swastik Lloyds Engg (Pvt) Ltd, you’ll have to head out to Narasayapalem. It’s a small place in the Bapatla mandal of Guntur district. We are based out of what used to be a family home, belonging to the son of Pothu Raju. It’s very much a rural setting in Andhra Pradesh. You’ll see a lot of green fields around here, mostly rice and some other crops. The air is salty because we aren't too far from the coast. The office isn't anything special to look at—just a plain building with a roof that keeps the rain off. Inside, we’ve got our engineering plans and a few desks. It can get pretty humid, so we have the fans going all day long. Narasayapalem is the kind of village where life follows the seasons. When it’s harvest time, the roads get blocked with tractors and carts. We work around it. It’s a quiet life for an engineering firm, but we like it that way. We don't have a fleet of fancy cars or a glass entrance. Just a door that’s usually open and a few people working hard inside. Most of the folks around here know us by name. We do our engineering work, talk to the local guys, and try to make things work with what we have. It’s not a high-pressure city office, but the work gets done just the same. We take it one day at a time here.
