Sri Shiva Sai Cement Works

Sri Shiva Sai Cement Works is located out on Amaravathi Road, specifically in the Bathni Kalana Mandapam area of Nagaralu. It’s a dusty place, as you might expect when you’re dealing with cement all day. We have bags stacked high and there’s usually a truck or two parked out front getting loaded or unloaded. The work is physical and we spend a lot of time outside or in the open shed area. It’s not the kind of job where you stay clean, but we don’t mind that. We help out builders and people doing their own home repairs around the local villages. We’ve seen a lot of changes on this road over the years as more buildings go up and the area gets more developed. Most of the time, we’re just checking the inventory or making sure the bags are kept dry when the rain clouds start to move in. It’s a simple operation. We don’t have a front desk or a waiting room; people usually just pull up and tell us what they need. We talk to the drivers and the laborers, and there’s always a bit of tea going around to keep us going. It’s just a regular local business trying to provide what the construction guys need without any fuss. We open early because the work on the sites starts when the sun comes up. It’s hard work, but it’s what we do for a living.
