SIVAPRADAYA HANDLOOMS PRIVATE LIMITED

We are located over in Muralinagar in Visakhapatnam, specifically at C/O Nambadauma 39-8-43/1. It’s a busy area and the weather here can get really humid, especially during the summer months. Sivapradaya Handlooms Private Limited is basically about the local weaving and getting those fabrics out to people who want them. We have a lot of threads and looms around, and the sound of the work is something you get used to pretty fast. It’s a bit of a crowded space because of all the stock, but we know where everything is kept. The people working here have been doing this for a long time. We aren't trying to be some giant corporation, we just want to keep the handloom tradition going in our own small way. Sometimes the dyes don't turn out exactly how we expected, so we have to start over, but that’s just part of the process. My neighbor Nambadauma helps out with the space. We drink a lot of water and try to stay cool while we work. Vizag is a good place for business because of the port and all, but we mostly stay focused on our local production here. It’s a bit dusty sometimes from the cotton fibers flying around in the air. We don’t have a fancy showroom, just the place where the work happens. If you walk by, you’ll probably see us sorting through different colored yarns near the door.
