Our place is out in Vadlamudi, which falls under the Chebrole Mandal area. It is a bit of a trek if you are coming from the main city, but we like being out here. The air is a little different and there is more space for our operations. We get our mail at the Vadlamudi Post office, which is just down the way. Most of the people working here live in the nearby villages, so we all know each other pretty well. The building itself is quite plain, mostly just concrete and some corrugated metal roofing in parts. It can get very hot in the middle of the day, so we try to get the heavy lifting done early in the morning. We handle a lot of international stuff, which means there is always someone checking shipping dates or looking at logistics on an old computer. It isn't a high-tech office with fancy gadgets, just a place where we put in our hours and get the job done. Sometimes the internet is slow, which can be frustrating when you have emails to send, but we find other things to do while we wait. The surrounding area has some fields and a few other small businesses. It is a quiet existence for the most part, except when the big lorries come to pick up the crates. We just keep our heads down and stay busy. That is life here.
