Peoples Hospital

Being over here in Kothapet on Old Club Road, we get a lot of the local Guntur crowd coming through the doors. The hospital is not tucked away; it is right in the thick of things. The sun hits the front of the building pretty hard in the afternoons, making the waiting room quite bright. We have some plants in pots near the entrance, but they struggle a bit with the heat. Inside, the air conditioning works most of the time, but we keep the ceiling fans going just in case. The floor tiles have some cracks from years of people walking over them. We handle all sorts of cases, from small scratches to people staying for a few days. The doctors are usually in a hurry, carrying their stethoscopes and looking at charts. We have a lot of regular patients from the Kothapet area who know us by name. It is not a high-end facility with private lounges; it is just a hospital for the local community. Sometimes the delivery of medicines gets delayed because of the traffic on Old Club Road, and we have to make do. The staff room is small and usually smells like someone’s spicy lunch. We use a lot of blue pens that always seem to go missing when you need one. It is a bit disorganized at times, but we manage to keep things moving for the people who need us every day.
