Nalam Ceramics

Located at Dr. No.15/9 on Santhapeta Main Road, we are right near Kanikala Hospital. It’s a good landmark because everyone knows where the hospital is. Our shop is filled with all sorts of ceramics, from tiles to smaller items. It’s a bit of a delicate business compared to some of the others on this street. You have to be careful when moving things around because one wrong move can break a whole stack. We spend a lot of time unpacking crates and checking for cracks. The floor is mostly tiled, which makes it easier to keep clean, but the dust from the road still finds its way in. We don't have a big sales team. Usually, it’s just one or two of us helping whoever walks in. People come in looking for things for their new homes or just a replacement piece for a bathroom. We try to keep a good variety so they can see the different colors and patterns. The lighting in the shop isn't great, but we use a flashlight if someone wants to see the details on a specific piece. It’s a quiet kind of work most of the time. We sit on plastic chairs near the entrance when there aren't many customers. It’s been our daily life for a long time. We know the neighbors and the rhythm of Santhapeta. It’s a simple shop in a busy part of town.
