Mahadev General Stores

Our little shop is tucked away in the second lane of Hanumaiah Nagar here in Poratipadu. It’s a quiet enough area but we get plenty of people stopping in for their daily things. We try to keep the shelves filled with the basics like soap, biscuits, and whatever cooking supplies people need for their dinner. It gets a bit cramped inside when we get a big delivery, especially since the space isn't huge. We’ve been here for a good bit now and we know most of the faces that come through the door. It’s mostly the neighbors from the surrounding houses. Usually, one of us is sitting behind the counter from early morning until we close up at night. There isn't anything fancy about how we run things. We just write down what we’re low on and try to get it back in stock before someone asks for it. Sometimes the rain makes the lane a bit messy, but folks still find their way to us. It’s a simple life running a general store. We chat with the regulars about the news or the weather while we bag up their stuff. If you’re looking for something specific and we don't have it, we might be able to get it next time the truck comes. That’s just how it works at Mahadev General Stores. We're just here to provide what the local families need. It's nothing special, just a shop.
