Lavanya Swarakruti Play School

Lavanya Swarakruti Play School is right here on Temple Street in the Ravindranagar area of Guntur. If you walk down the road in Pattabipuram, you can’t miss us. It is a busy little spot, especially in the mornings when parents are dropping their kids off on their way to work. We have a few rooms set up for the children. They mostly spend their time playing with blocks or sitting on the floor listening to stories. The building is just a standard house that we converted into a school. It stays quite cool inside even when the Guntur heat gets bad in the afternoons. We have some posters on the walls, mostly alphabets and some drawings the kids did last month. The neighborhood is mostly families, so there is always someone walking by the windows. The gate is painted green, though it’s fading a bit. Sometimes the kids get a bit loud, but that is just how it is with small children. We have a small staff of local people who live nearby. It is a simple place. No big playgrounds or anything, just a safe space for them to be while their parents are busy. We keep the water bottles lined up on the shelf. The floor is easy to clean because we get a lot of sand from the street. It’s just a normal part of the day here in 522006. We usually close up early in the afternoon once all the kids are picked up.
