Lakshmi General Store

Lakshmi General Store is right on R K Street here in Chilakaluripet. It is at 639-528. I open the shutters pretty early every morning because people need their stuff before they head off to work or school. It gets a bit dusty on this street sometimes but we just keep the doors open and wait for whoever stops by. We have been in this spot for a good while now. Most folks around here know where we are. It is not a very big place but we try to keep the shelves full with what people actually use every day. Sometimes the delivery trucks are late and we have to wait around, which is just how it goes. You see the same faces every day, mostly neighbors from around the block. We chat a little about the weather or the traffic on the main road. The counter is a bit old and the floor is worn down from people walking in and out. If someone is looking for a specific brand of soap or some pulses, they just ask. It is mostly just me or my family behind the counter. We don't have any fancy signs or anything like that. Just the name on the front and the items inside. It is a simple way to make a living and we like being part of the street here in Chilakaluripet. We aren't doing anything special, just selling groceries to the people who live nearby.
