Kohinoor Ice Cream

Our place, Kohinoor Ice Cream, is on the 1st Floor of the K V Reddy Complex. It’s located at 11-3 on Station Road in Arundelpet. Being on the first floor is a bit of a challenge because people have to walk up the stairs, but we’ve put up a sign so they don’t miss us. Station Road is always chaotic. There are rickshaws, people rushing to the trains, and vendors shouting all day long. Inside the complex, it’s a bit quieter. We have a small production area in the back and a counter in the front. The space is a bit cramped, especially when we get a big delivery of ingredients. I spend a lot of time organizing the storage so we can actually move around. The electricity bills in Arundelpet are getting higher, which is a worry when you have to run freezers 24/7. We don't have any polished marketing materials or a fancy logo. It’s just the name on the door. Most of our customers are workers from the other shops in the complex or people waiting for their trains who want a quick treat. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It’s a bit hot in the kitchen area, but that’s just part of the job. We try to keep things organized even if it feels a little messy during the busy lunch hour when everyone comes in.
