John Usman Fabrication & Engineering Works

Over at Shop No. 112 in Face-3 of the IDA Auto Nagar in Guntur, you’ll find us at John Usman Fabrication & Engineering Works. This place is usually a hive of activity from early morning until late. Being in the industrial area means we are surrounded by other workshops and the constant sound of engines and tools. We do a lot of the heavy lifting when it comes to engineering repairs and making metal parts for machines. My workspace is never really tidy because there is always a project halfway finished on the bench. We’ve been in Guntur for years and the heat in the workshop during the summer is something else. We just drink plenty of tea and keep going. Most of our work comes from word of mouth around Auto Nagar. People know we have the tools and the space to handle the bigger engineering jobs. It’s a lot of welding, grinding, and measuring. I usually have a pencil behind my ear and a metal ruler in my pocket. We don’t do much advertising; the work speaks for itself when someone’s equipment is back up and running. It’s a gritty job, but someone has to do it. We are right there in the heart of the industrial zone, just doing what needs to be done every day to keep things moving. We don't have time for anything that isn't practical.
