Our dairy is located right on Bus Stand Road in Phirangipuram, at D.No.13/104. Being near the bus stand means there is never a quiet moment. There’s always the sound of buses pulling in and people rushing around. Jahnavi Dairy & Milk Products has been operating from this spot for a while now. We handle the local milk distribution for this part of the region. It’s a lot of hard work that starts while most people are still sleeping. We have to deal with the farmers coming in and then getting everything processed before the heat of the day sets in. The office part of our building is just a small desk with a lot of papers on it. We aren't really into the whole corporate way of doing things. We prefer to talk to people face to face. Sometimes the equipment acts up and we spend half the day with grease on our hands trying to get it running again. It’s just the reality of running a small dairy in a place like Phirangipuram. We have a few local guys who help with the deliveries and the heavy lifting. It’s a steady rhythm of work that doesn’t change much from season to season. We just focus on getting the milk out to the people who need it every day. It’s been our routine for a long time and we just keep at it.
