Our place is out in Tumuluru, near Kollipara in the Guntur district. It’s a bit of a specific spot to find if you aren't from around here, but the locals know Sureshbabu’s place near the X-Man area. We handle the heavy construction equipment side of Hyundai. It is mostly about the big yellow machines, the diggers and loaders that do the hard work on the road. The dust gets everywhere in the summer, but that is just life in Andhra Pradesh. We spend a lot of time looking at hydraulic systems and tracks. It is not a clean office job. Most of us have grease on our hands by noon. We keep the equipment ready for whatever job comes next in the fields or on the new roads they are building. The yard is usually full of parts and big metal components. We have been here for a bit, just doing what needs to be done. It is a family-connected sort of setup, very straightforward. No one wears a tie here. We just talk about engine parts and how long a machine can run before it needs a service. It's a practical business. We don't have a lot of fancy brochures. If a machine breaks down, people come to us to see what can be fixed. It's a busy life, but it keeps us on our toes. We are just simple people working with big iron. That's how we spend our days.
