Guntur General Hospital

We’re located right opposite the railway station in the Railpet area. Being across from the station means Guntur General Hospital is always seeing people who are just getting off a train or heading to one. It’s a very busy part of town. You can hear the whistles and the announcements from the platforms throughout the day. A lot of our patients are locals from Railpet, but we also get travelers who get sick while they're on the move. The hospital itself is a straightforward place. We have a few wards and a place for outpatients to wait. It’s not a quiet environment by any means, with the traffic and the trains, but we’ve all gotten used to it. The staff works in shifts to make sure someone is always around. We spend a lot of our time checking pulses, writing out charts, and talking to families. The floors are hard tile and we mop them constantly because of all the dust from the street. It’s a practical setup meant for handling a lot of people in a day. Sometimes we run out of chairs and people have to stand near the entrance. We aren't trying to be a five-star hotel; we're just here to provide medical help to whoever walks in. It’s a lot of routine work, but it’s important for this side of Guntur. We deal with whatever comes through the doors, whether it's minor or something that needs more attention right away.
