Things start early here in Obulesunipalle. You can usually hear the recruits out on the grounds before the sun is even fully up. Being out here in Guntur, we have a fair amount of space, which is good because there is a lot of running and drills to get through. It’s not a quiet place by any means. There is always someone shouting orders or whistles going off. The buildings are pretty plain, just standard stuff you’d expect for a government training spot. We keep the gear sorted and make sure the classrooms are ready for the theory parts. It gets quite hot during the afternoons, so everyone is usually pretty exhausted by the time evening rolls around. We’ve been at this location for a while now. Most of us who work here live nearby or stay on the grounds. It’s a very routine kind of life. Monday through Saturday, the schedule is the same. We don’t have any fancy facilities, just what is necessary for the training. Sometimes the water pressure is a bit low, or the grass needs cutting, but we manage. People come here to learn the basics of the job before they head out to their actual postings. It feels like a small village sometimes because we see the same faces every day for months. Just a practical place for people to do their work and get through the day.
