Down in Guntur, specifically in the Koritepadu area, our office sits on the 2nd line of Chaitanyapuri. The address is D.No.4-22-27/3, which sounds complicated but it’s easy once you’re on the street. Guntur is famous for its heat, so our office is usually a bit of a refuge with the fans going full blast. We have a small space here where we manage all the chit fund work. It’s mostly residential around us, so it’s fairly peaceful compared to the main roads. We have some metal filing cabinets that are starting to show their age and a desk that’s seen better days. Neighbors often stop in just to say hello while they are out running errands. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that; whoever is free just looks up and helps whoever walked in. The tea stall down the road brings us small cups of coffee every couple of hours. We spend a lot of our time checking and re-checking the numbers in our big registers. It’s a very manual process, but it works for us and the people who trust us with their money. The street outside gets a bit dusty when the wind picks up, so we’re always wiping down the tables and the chairs. It’s just a regular, everyday office where we do our best to stay organized and keep everything running smoothly for the folks in Chaitanyapuri. No big frills here, just people doing work they know well.
