Balaji Colours

You can find us at Bharath Pet, which is just off Amaravathi Road. We are in 9th Lane, D.No.14-15, 126/A. It is a bit of a maze back here if you do not know the turns. Balaji Colours has been operating out of this building for years. It is an old place with high ceilings and stone floors that stay cold. We mostly deal with paints and pigments, so there are splashes of color everywhere you look. Even the door handles have some old dried paint stuck to them. We spend our days mixing and matching, trying to get things right for the people who stop by. It is a lot of standing on our feet and moving heavy buckets around the floor. We do not have any of those fancy computerized mixing machines. We still do a lot of things the old way because it feels more reliable for us. The lighting isn't the best in the back of the shop, but we know where every tin is kept even in the dark. We usually have a tea break in the afternoon when the sun hits the front of the store. It is a simple life. We don't try to impress anyone with a big storefront or neon signs. We just want to make sure the orders are ready when people come to pick them up. The neighbors are mostly other small businesses, so we all know each other.
