High Brain Public School

High Brain Public School is situated in Harinndan Colony, in the Ghosipura area of Guna. It is a local school that serves the families living in the nearby colonies. The school is surrounded by houses, so it really feels like it’s part of the neighborhood. In the mornings, you can hear the bells ringing and the parents dropping off their children at the gate. The building is a couple of stories high, and we have squeezed in as many classrooms as we can to accommodate the growing number of students. The stairs are narrow, and there is always a bit of a rush when classes change. We have a small staff of teachers who are mostly from Guna itself. They know the families and the kids well. It’s not a fancy school with a swimming pool or a huge auditorium. We have a terrace where we sometimes do activities, and the classrooms have the usual benches and green boards. The walls are decorated with posters about the alphabet, maps of India, and photos of famous leaders. Sometimes the water pump acts up, or we have to repaint a room because the monsoon rain leaked through, but that’s just how it is. We spend our time teaching the kids and making sure they are ready for their exams. It’s a busy, noisy, and very real place in the middle of Ghosipura.
