Burhani Hardware

Sadar Bazar is always a bit of a scramble, and Burhani Hardware is right in the middle of it. We are located in Ward No.72. If you know the area, you know how it gets. We are right near Murli Dhokal Gali, which is one of those spots that stays busy from the moment the sun comes up. Inside the shop, we have shelves piled pretty high. It’s a hardware place, so things are heavy and dusty. I spend a lot of time moving boxes or looking for something small that someone needs. We don't really have a fancy display. It’s more about knowing where everything is kept in the back or on those high shelves. Sometimes I think we should organize it better, but then we get busy and the day just goes by. The noise from the street outside Murli Dhokal Gali comes right through the front, so it’s never really peaceful. But you get used to the sound of carts and people talking. Being in Ward No.72 means we see a lot of the same faces every day. It’s an old part of the bazaar and the buildings have that worn-in feeling. Burhani Hardware isn't trying to be anything other than a shop where you can find what you need. We keep the ledger on the desk and try to keep up with the mess. It’s just how life is in the bazaar.
