Vasavadatta Cement

This part of our business is handled out of Makrana, in the Nagaur district. We are set up in Gehlot Colony, right by the bypass road. If you know Makrana, you know it’s famous for stone, but cement is just as important for all the building that goes on around here. Our office is basically run by Kamal Randar. It’s a local setup, not some high-rise corporate suite. We are right there on the bypass, so we see all the trucks going past all day long. It gets quite loud and dusty with all that traffic, but that’s just how it is. We deal with the day-to-day of the cement trade, talking to suppliers and making sure deliveries are on track. We don't have a lot of meetings or big speeches. We just sit at our desks, handle the phone calls, and check the ledgers. Sometimes we share a meal in the office when it’s too busy to go out. The pace is steady, and we’ve gotten to know all the regulars who pass through this way. It’s a very practical environment. We don't use a lot of big words to describe what we do. We just make sure the cement gets to where it’s going. It’s a simple life in Nagaur, and we are just trying to do our part in the local economy without making any big fuss about it.
