Tawakkal Electro-Mechanical Design Centre

We’re located in Madina Colony over in Gulbarga. The address is M.S.K. Mill, Jeelanabad, and we’re right in that Karnataka-585103 area. This design centre isn’t what you’d call high-tech to look at from the outside. It’s a pretty simple building where we do electro-mechanical design work. Most of our time is spent hunched over tables or looking at screens. The neighborhood is busy with people going to work and kids playing in the street. We’ve got a lot of blueprints and technical manuals stacked up in the corners. It’s a bit cramped when everyone is in at the same time, but we make it work. The light in the afternoons is quite good for drawing, which helps. We don’t have a fancy coffee machine, just a small stove for making tea. People stop by to discuss their projects, and we usually sit around a big wooden table that's seen a lot of use over the years. We aren't trying to impress anyone with the decor. The focus is always on the drawings and making sure the designs are right. It’s a bit noisy because of the mill nearby, but you get used to the sound after a week or two. We’ve been part of the Jeelanabad community for a while now, and it feels like home. Every day is just about getting the work done and moving on to the next design. We just keep our heads down and work through whatever pile of drawings is waiting for us.
