We are based out here in Shahabad. It’s a small town in Karnataka, and everyone kind of knows everyone else. Our office handles life insurance for the people in this area. It’s a simple setup, nothing like those big offices you see in Bangalore. We have a few desks, some old filing cabinets, and a computer that’s seen better days. People come in mostly to ask questions about their money or how to change a nominee. We try to explain it simply without using all that confusing insurance lingo. The weather here can get really hot, so the ceiling fans are always on full blast. We don't have a fancy lobby. If you come in, you just sit down and talk to us. It’s a very local vibe. We often share tea with the people who come by. It’s not a fast-paced place. We take our time to make sure the forms are filled out right so there are no problems later. Most of us grew up around here or in the next town over. We know the struggles people have, so we just do our best to help with their paperwork. It’s a quiet life, just working at the insurance office. We open in the morning, do the filing, talk to customers, and head home when the sun goes down. It's just normal life.
