Quantity Surveyor

Our place is located at Plot No 70 on Pervez Garden Road. It is part of the Riyasat Colony near the old M.S.K. Mills in Gulbarga. It’s a bit of an older part of town, but it’s home. We do quantity surveying work from a small room here. It’s mostly just a desk, some chairs, and a lot of technical books. I spend my time figuring out what materials a building needs before they even start digging the foundation. It saves a lot of trouble later on. Jeelanabad is a friendly neighborhood. I know most of the people on this street. We don’t have a big sign outside or anything. Usually, word of mouth is how people find out we do this work. It’s just about being honest with the costs. Sometimes I have to tell a client their dream house is going to cost more than they thought, which isn't fun, but it’s necessary. I’ve got some old blueprints from years ago stored in the corner that I should probably throw out. The air is a bit dusty because of the mill nearby. We keep it simple here. No fancy computers or high-tech gear, just a good eye for detail and a decent calculator. People come by for a cup of tea and a talk about their projects. That is how we like to do things and we plan to stay here for a long time.
