Mominpura is a busy neighborhood in Gulbarga, and that is where you will find us. We are at house number 6-453, right near the Jamat Khana. It’s a place that Enayat Ali set up to run this business. Gulbarga can get incredibly hot, especially in the middle of the year, so the thick walls of the building really help keep things a bit cooler inside. The street outside is narrow and can get blocked by bikes or carts if you aren't careful. It’s a very local atmosphere where everyone knows their neighbor's business. We don't have a big fancy office with air conditioning; it’s more of a traditional setup where we sit and talk through things. The floor is simple stone and there are a few wooden chairs for visitors. Most of our day is spent handling the usual tasks that come up with running a private business in a place like this. There is always someone walking by or a bit of noise from the nearby houses. It’s a practical way to work without spending money on things we don’t need. We keep the paperwork in some old metal cupboards. It is not a complicated operation, just a steady one that stays rooted in this part of Karnataka. Sometimes we sit outside on the steps when the sun starts to go down and it gets a little more comfortable for everyone who is still around.
