M/S Vasavadatta Cement.

We've been out here in Sedam for quite a while now. Most of the people around here know the Vasavadatta Cement plant. My name is Narayan Sarwade and I stay right in the colony at Laxmi Narayan Nagar, specifically in Quarter F-30/3. It's a busy place with trucks coming and going all the time. Making cement is hard work and the dust gets on everything, but it's what keeps the town moving. We deal with the local supply and manage things from this office. Sometimes the power goes out or the phones act up, but we get the job done. It’s not a fancy setup at all. If you're looking for us, just head towards the post office area in Sedam. We’ve seen the district change a lot over the years. Gulbarga is a big area and we try to cover as much as we can from this spot. Usually, you’ll find someone at the quarters during the day. It’s a mix of living and working here, so the lines get blurred sometimes. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just focus on the loads and making sure the bags get to where they need to be. It’s straightforward work. If someone needs to talk about an order or a delivery, they usually just drop by or send a message. We try to keep things simple because that's how it works best in this part of Karnataka. It’s just us doing our bit.
