Grasim

The Grasim office here is at Qtr.No.:Av-6/11 in Aditya Nagar. This is part of the Rajashree Cement area on Malkhed Road in Gulbarga. Since we are based in the staff quarters, the whole place has a very specific feel to it. It is like living and working in the same community. Everyone knows everyone else around here. The building is not anything special, just a standard block that fits in with the rest of the colony. We spend our days dealing with the usual paperwork and keeping track of things for the cement operations. It gets quite hot in this part of Karnataka, so the fans are almost always running at full speed. There is a lot of open space around the quarters, but it is mostly dry ground. In the mornings, you see people heading off to the plant, and in the evenings, it is quiet once the shift changes. We have a small table for our files and a couple of old chairs that have seen better days. It is not a place for meetings with clients or anything grand. It is just where we sit and handle the administrative side of things. There is a small canteen not too far away where we get our tea. It is a very simple existence here, just keeping things moving along as best as we can in this quiet corner of Malkhed Road.
