Garment Manufacture

Our place is at No. 1-867/22 E-1 in Mahveer Nagar. It is a bit tucked away, so you have to look closely for the unit number. We have about ten sewing machines running most of the time, so there is always a bit of a hum in the air. The floor is usually covered in little bits of thread and scraps of cloth that we sweep up at the end of the day. Garment Manufacture isn't a huge factory, just a solid workspace where we put things together. The light isn't great in the back corner, so we use some extra lamps there. We've got a couple of big tables for cutting the fabric. Sometimes the power goes out in the neighborhood and we all have to take a break until it comes back on. We know all the shopkeepers around Mahveer Nagar by name. We usually eat our lunch together in the small room near the entrance. It gets hot in the summer, but we open all the windows and hope for a breeze. We don't really do much advertising, word of mouth seems to work okay for us. People know where we are if they need something made. We just keep our heads down and get the work done. It's not a glamorous job but it pays the bills and keeps us busy. We mostly just focus on finishing whatever pile of clothes is sitting on the bench that day.
