Famous Electronics

The shop is at 54/177 on Chappal Bazar Road here in Maktampura. It’s a busy place with a lot of noise from the street. We’ve been at this location for quite a while now. Most days start with pulling up the metal shutters and trying to sweep out the dust that settles overnight. Being on a road like Chappal Bazar means there are always people moving about, mostly looking for shoes or household items. Our place, Famous Electronics, is just a small spot tucked in there. Inside, we have shelves piled up with all sorts of things, mostly older parts and some new boxes. It’s not very organized, but we usually know where everything is kept. The walls have some marks on them from moving equipment around over the years. We have an old ceiling fan that clicks when it's on high, but it helps when the afternoon heat gets bad. People come in with broken radios or asking for help with their televisions. We don’t have a big staff, just a couple of us who know our way around a circuit board. Sometimes we sit on the stools out front when business is slow and just watch the traffic go by. It’s a simple way to make a living. We aren't trying to do anything fancy here. We just show up, do the repairs, and talk to the neighbors. It feels like a real part of the community in Maktampura.
