Bhagyawanti Hardware

Our hardware shop is situated at 68-522 in the town of Afzalpur. It is a relatively quiet place, but we stay busy with the local people coming in for their various repair needs. We have got a bit of everything crammed onto our shelves. You can find tools, nails, pipes, and buckets scattered around the place. It is a bit of a jumble, but that is how a real hardware store is supposed to look. If someone asks for a very specific type of bolt, it might take us a few minutes to find it in the bins. We actually enjoy the process of looking for things though. Most of our customers are farmers or people from nearby who are fixing a leak or putting up a new fence. We hear a lot of talk about the weather and how the crops are doing this year. That is usually the main thing people want to talk about. We have been at this location for many years, and the building definitely shows its age. The front door creaks every time a customer walks in, and the floorboards have plenty of character. We do not use any fancy computers for our sales. We just write everything down in a big ledger and give change from the desk drawer. It is a slow pace of life, and that suits us just fine. We just try to help people out.
