We are located at 18 A in the New Mahakali Society. If you are heading towards Rani Ki Vaav Road here in Patan, you'll find us nearby. This is a quiet part of town, mostly residential and calm. The Narottam Lalbhai Rural Development Fund has been operating from this building for quite some time now. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of employees. It's mostly just a handful of us working on various things for the rural areas around this part of Gujarat. The office is very simple, with some old desks and a lot of folders. We spend a lot of time out in the villages, so the office can be empty on some afternoons. It's not a place for flashy presentations or corporate meetings. People stop by to talk about their needs or projects they are hoping to get help with. Patan is a historical place, but our work is about the present and the future of the people living outside the main city limits. We don't have a big marketing budget or a fancy website. Most of what we do happens on the ground, away from the computers. Dealing with rural development means you have to be very patient. Things take time to change. Sometimes the rains slow us down, or the roads are in bad shape. But we keep at it because people depend on us. Living and working on Rani Ki Vaav Road feels right. It is just local people helping neighbors.
