Getco Gujarat State Transmission Of Electrical Power Utility

This is the Getco office located right on the Godhra Baroda National Highway. If you are driving past the old Gondra Octroi Terminal you will see us there. We are quite close to the Madina Society. It is a busy spot because of the highway traffic and the trucks always moving through. This place is part of the Gujarat State Transmission of Electrical Power Utility. We have got a lot of equipment around and the staff is usually out in the field or checking the lines. The pin code is 389 001 if you are sending mail. It is an old building, been here a long time. The gates are usually open during the day but we keep an eye on things. It gets dusty with the road being so close. We have a small desk near the entrance where people come to ask about their power or the lines. It is not the most modern setup but it is where we coordinate everything for the transmission. Most of the guys here have been working at this station for years. They know the grid like the back of their hand. Sometimes the tea stall down the road is where we end up talking about the day's work. It is practical work, nothing too complicated to explain. We just make sure the power keeps moving through the lines as it should every single day.
