We are situated right along NH 66 in Guirim. It’s a good spot because people can see us as they are driving by on the highway. Being in Goa, the weather really dictates how our days go. When the monsoon hits, everything gets muddy and we spend a lot of time trying to keep the water out of the storage areas. We work with farmers and people who just like to grow things in their backyards. The shop has that earthy smell of seeds and fertilizer. It’s not a shiny corporate office; it’s more of a practical space where people come to talk about their crops and what pests are bothering them this season. We have a lot of bags stacked up and some equipment sitting out front. Sometimes it’s quiet and we just watch the cars go by on the road, and other times it’s a rush of people all needing something at once. We’ve got a few benches where people sit and rest for a bit. We don't really do much advertising. People mostly find us because they saw the sign while driving or someone told them we had what they needed. It’s a simple life out here near the highway, focusing on the dirt and the plants. We just try to keep the shelves stocked and the floors swept. There's always a cat or two hanging around the back door, and we don't mind them much as they keep the mice away.
