Mold Texture Technologies

Our workshop is at 23, Aks Avenue in Thangappa Puram, which is part of Guduvanchery. It’s an industrial sort of area, and we fit right in. At Mold Texture Technologies, we spend our days working with metal and various chemicals to get the surfaces of molds just right. It’s very technical, but to look at us, you’d just see a bunch of people in stained overalls. The air in the shop usually smells like oil and metal shavings. We have some heavy machines that make a lot of noise, so it’s hard to talk sometimes. We’ve been in this Guduvanchery spot for a few years now. The space is filled with samples of different textures we’ve done over the time. It’s not the kind of place where you’d want to wear nice clothes because you’ll definitely get some grease on them. We don't have a big sales team; we just take the orders that come in from the factories nearby. Most of the work is slow and needs a lot of patience to make sure the patterns are even. Sometimes we stay late to finish a job if a customer is in a hurry. It’s a steady kind of life. We like being tucked away in Aks Avenue where we can just focus on the machines and the work in front of us. It’s not fancy but it’s what we know. We mostly keep to ourselves and just focus on the metal in front of us.
