About Thirumala Silk Sarees – Fashion & Trends in Gudur
Tholimitta Street is where you will find us. We have been running Thirumala Silk Sarees in this part of Nellore for quite a while. The street can get pretty narrow and crowded, especially during the festival seasons or wedding months. That is when the shop gets really full. We have stacks of silk sarees everywhere. They are piled on the counters and kept in the cupboards along the walls. It’s a lot of fabric to manage. We spend our mornings folding things back up after customers have looked through them. Silk is delicate, so we have to be careful, but we don't treat the place like a museum. It’s a shop meant for people to touch the cloth and see the colors for themselves. We know most of the other shopkeepers on Tholimitta Street too. It’s a tight-knit area. Sometimes the lighting in the shop isn't perfect, but we think the sarees look better in natural light anyway. We don't use any fancy sales tactics. People just come in, sit down on the floor or the stools, and we start showing them what we have in stock. It’s a traditional way of doing things. We stay busy with the locals from Nellore and people coming in from the nearby villages. It’s just us here, day in and day out, working with the silk because that is what we know and what we have always done here.
