We are based in Pedagonnuru, a place where people really appreciate traditional work. Our shop, Sindhu Handlooms And Sarees, is where we keep all our stock. It's not a big city store. It's more of a local spot where people from the village and nearby areas come to shop for special occasions. The sarees are stacked up high on the wooden shelves. We have many different colors and patterns to choose from. My father started this business many years ago and now I help him run it. We don't use computers much for our daily work. Most things are done by hand or noted down in an old ledger. It's a slower way of doing things but it works for us. The weavers we work with are from around this area too. Sometimes it takes a while to get the stock ready because handmade stuff cannot be rushed. We don't have a fancy sign or air conditioning in the shop. Usually, we just leave the big doors open to let the breeze in. It gets a bit dusty, but that's just how life is here. People come here because they know we've been around for a long time. We don't do any big advertisements. If someone likes a saree they bought, they tell their neighbor, and that is how we keep going. Pedagonnuru is a quiet place and we like it that way.
