Yds Agro

Ramji Ka Goal is where we are based, out in the Gudamalani tehsil. It’s a bit of a drive from the main Barmer city, but we like it out here. Yds Agro is really just a local effort. We deal with a lot of people who are working the land around this district. The weather in Barmer is no joke, it gets incredibly hot for most of the year, so our work hours usually start very early in the morning. By the time the afternoon sun is high, we are usually taking it slow inside. Our shop isn't anything special to look at, just a sturdy building that holds what we need for the season. We see the same people week after week, so it feels more like a neighborhood gathering spot sometimes than a business. We talk about the rain, or the lack of it, and how the crops are doing this year. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know the area and the people well. Everything is done quite simply. We don't use any complicated software, just a pen and a ledger mostly. It’s a long way from the big cities, and we prefer it that way. People here value a handshake and someone who actually shows up when they say they will. We just try to be those people. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy enough throughout the changing seasons.
