Our unit is C-10 in the EPIP area, Site-5, over in the Kasana Industrial Area. It usually smells pretty good around here because we make dhoop all day long. You can usually tell which building is ours just by the scent in the air before you even see the sign on the door. We have a lot of raw materials like different powders and oils stored in the back of the unit. The process is pretty traditional, even if we use some modern machines to help speed things up for the bigger orders. It’s a busy place with people moving large wooden trays of incense around to dry. We aren't a corporate giant with a PR department or anything like that. We’re just a local business in the Kasana area. The floors usually have a thin layer of fine dust from the ingredients we use, but that’s just part of the job. We have a small, dedicated crew and everyone knows exactly what they’re supposed to do. Sometimes the weather affects how the products dry, so we have to adjust our production schedule accordingly. We don't talk about excellence or missions. We just try to make dhoop that smells right and burns well for the people who buy it. People in the area know us, and we’ve been at Site-5 for a while now. It’s a steady business and we just keep our heads down and do the work. Sudarshan Dhoop is just our family-run company doing what we have always done.
