Packman Industries

Packman Industries is based at Plot No. 289 in Udyog Kendra-Ii, over in Ecotech Iii. It is a bit of a trek to get out here, but it is a good spot for a factory. We focus on packaging, so as you can imagine, the place is full of cardboard, plastic, and big rolls of tape. The machines make a rhythmic clicking sound all day long. It becomes like background music after you’ve worked here for a few weeks. We have a fairly simple setup. There is the main production floor and then a small area for the staff to take their breaks. We don't have a fancy reception desk. Usually, if someone comes to the door, one of the guys from the floor just goes over to see what they need. We deal with a lot of different clients, from small shops to bigger companies that need their products wrapped up safe. It’s a lot of lifting and moving pallets around. Sometimes the warehouse gets a bit disorganized when we are really busy, but we usually spend Saturday mornings tidying it all up. The air is always a bit dry from the cardboard dust, but we don't mind it much. We aren't here to win awards; we are just here to make sure people's items are packed properly so they don't break during shipping. It's basic, practical work that keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday every single week.
