Goyal Paints & Hardware

Goyal Paints & Hardware is our little shop over in Beeta 1 Rampur Jagir. It is a busy area and we have been here for a bit now. We keep a lot of different cans of paint and tools piled up on the shelves. Sometimes it is hard to find exactly what a customer wants right away because the stacks get pretty high. We try to keep the brushes and hammers in the right bins, but things get moved around during the day. It is just how a hardware store works. Most of our customers are locals from the neighborhood who are fixing something at home. We chat with them about their projects while we mix colors or look for the right size of screws. It is a simple business. We open early in the morning because that is when the workers like to pick up their supplies. The floor is usually covered in a bit of dust from the bags of cement or putty. We don't mind it. It shows we are working. The sun comes through the front door in the afternoon and makes the shop feel warm. We aren't trying to be the biggest store around. We just want to have what people need so they don't have to drive too far. If we don't have it, we usually know who does. It is a good way to spend the day, talking to people and helping them out with their houses.
