Galaxy Plywood Company

Our place is located out in Site 4 of Greater Noida, specifically at Factory No E/49. It’s an industrial area, so there is always the sound of trucks and machinery in the air. We handle plywood all day long. There are stacks of sheets everywhere you look, reaching almost to the ceiling in some parts of the warehouse. It’s a bit of a maze once you get inside. We set up here because we needed the room to store everything properly. It isn't a retail shop where you come to browse around. It’s a working space where things are constantly being loaded and sent out to construction sites. The dust gets on everything, no matter how much we try to sweep up at the end of the day. We have a small office tucked in the corner for the paperwork and phone calls. Sometimes the power goes out and everything just stops for a bit, but that’s just part of working here. The crew knows exactly where each type of ply is kept, even if it looks like a jumble to anyone else. We don’t do much talking, mostly just moving the heavy sheets and checking orders. People come to us for bulk stuff for furniture or big building projects. It gets quite hot under the tin roof during the summer months. We usually have a small radio playing to keep us company. It’s a plain, hardworking spot. We have been here for a while and the routine stays mostly the same.
