Gagan International

The shop at number 1259 on Dadri Railway Road opens up early every morning. You can hear the trains passing over the nearby railway bridge. It makes the windows rattle sometimes, but we are used to it by now. Gagan International has been in this spot for a while. We spend a lot of time just moving things around to make space. The counter is old and has some scratches on it. When the sun hits the road, the dust comes inside, so we have to wipe the surfaces quite often. We have a few plastic chairs for when people need to sit down while waiting. It gets quite busy when the trains stop or when there is a lot of traffic on the road. Most of our day is spent looking through ledgers and checking what is left on the shelves. There is a small tea stall nearby that brings us tea twice a day. The fan in the corner makes a clicking sound, but it keeps the air moving. Sometimes we just stand by the door and watch the people going toward the bridge. It is a simple place with a lot of heavy items and not much decoration. We try to keep things organized, but it gets messy when new stock arrives. We just handle things as they come and try to keep the place running through the heat and the noise of the railway.
