Our small unit, Khodal Ind, sits at Plot No. 65/1 in the Gozariya Gidc. Mehsana is a quiet enough place, but the industrial estate stays pretty active throughout the week. We mostly do fabrication and part work, though it varies depending on what the local farmers or businesses need. The workshop is not very big. We have a few machines that have been with us since the very start, and they still do the job just fine. It is a lot of metalwork and sparks flying around for most of the day. We do not have a dedicated sales team or anyone to answer the phone in a fancy way. Usually, it is just one of us wiping grease off our hands to take a call or talk to a visitor. We focus on getting the dimensions right and making sure the welding holds up under pressure. The weather in Gujarat gets really hot in the summer, so we usually start our work early to beat the midday sun. It is a simple setup—concrete floors, high ceilings, and plenty of tools scattered around the benches. We do not bother with much decoration because it would just get covered in dust anyway. The work speaks for itself, really. If a neighbor in Gidc has a break in their machinery, they often come to us to see if we can fix it. We have been at this for years and it suits us fine.
