Madhav Business House

Madhav Business House is at Shop No. 5 in the Samarth Shruti Building. We are right on MG Road, not too far from Azad Maidan. It’s a good spot because everyone knows the landmark. The shop is small, but we make the most of the space. We have glass counters filled with all sorts of things we sell. It’s mostly just us two or three people working here at any time. The mornings are usually for cleaning and setting things up. We open the shutters and let some air in, though the MG Road traffic brings in a lot of dust. Most of our customers are locals who have been coming to us for years. They stop in to pick up what they need and usually stay for a quick chat about the neighborhood. We don't have a website or anything like that; we just do business face-to-face. The shelves behind us are filled with stock, and we have a small stool for when it’s quiet. Sometimes we sit outside for a bit when the weather is nice. Working near the maidan means there is always something happening outside, especially during the cricket season. We just keep the shop running and help whoever walks through the door. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living. We like the rhythm of this place and the people around us. It has been our home for a very long time.
