Junior Engineer In Pb.Water Supply & Sewerage Board Sub.Div

I’m a Junior Engineer working in the Punjab Water Supply and Sewerage Board. My specific sub-division is over in Sultan Pur Lodhi, which is in the Kapurthala district. You can find the office near Moh Arora Rasta. My work is mostly about the stuff people don't want to think about, like water lines and drains. It isn't the most glamorous job in the world but it is necessary for the town to run. I’ve lived in this part of Punjab for a long time. The pin code here is 144626. My office is a bit old and the files are stacked high on the wooden desks. I don't have a secretary to answer the phones, so I usually do it myself. People come in with complaints about leaks or blocked pipes. I listen and then I go out to see what the crew can do. It’s a lot of coordination and sometimes the weather makes it hard to get things fixed quickly. I try to be fair with everyone. I don't use technical jargon when talking to the neighbors. I just explain what is broken and how we are going to try and fix it. It’s a busy life but I like being useful to the community here. The work is hard and the hours can be unpredictable, but knowing the water is flowing right makes it worthwhile.
