Veda Panchakarma Hospital Research Institute

Our place is located at Number 148 on the Medical College Road in the Basaratpur area, specifically Ashok Nagar in Gorakhpur. This is a well-known part of town because of the medical college being right there. It’s a research institute too, so we have a lot of books and records lying around besides the usual hospital equipment. The building is a solid structure in a neighborhood that has grown a lot over the years. We do a lot of Panchakarma work here, which involves a lot of traditional setups that you might not see in a standard clinic. There’s usually a specific smell of oils and herbs in the air when you walk in. It’s not a sterile, cold environment. We try to keep it feeling more like a home or a traditional learning space. The staff knows a lot about the old ways of doing things, and they’re always busy preparing whatever is needed for the day. Being in Gorakhpur, we get people from all the nearby villages and the city itself. The road outside is often dusty and loud with rickshaws, but we’ve got our own pace inside. It’s a bit of a mix between a school and a clinic. We just do the work and keep the research going as best as we can with the resources we have at hand. It's a busy spot but we manage to keep things organized.
