Steel Palace

Steel Palace is situated at 378, Civil Lines, right near the B K D Chowraha. Being near a chowraha means there is always a lot of noise from horns and people shouting, but it keeps things interesting. We deal with steel, so the place is naturally a bit loud and metallic. You won't find any soft carpets or fancy art on the walls here. It is a workshop and a store all rolled into one. At 378, we have enough space to keep our stock, though it feels like we are always running out of room. The heat from the sun and the metal can make the afternoons pretty intense. We usually wear old clothes because everything gets covered in grit and metal shavings. Civil Lines is a well-known part of town, so finding us isn’t too hard for most people. I’ve spent many years at this location, watching the traffic go around the chowraha. We just focus on getting the orders right and making sure the steel is handled properly. It’s physical work that leaves you tired at the end of the shift. We don't use any fancy talk; we just tell people what we have and what it costs. It’s a straightforward way to run a business, and it’s worked for us so far. We just keep showing up and doing the same thing every day.
