Spandan Medi Clinic

This clinic is over in Ravti Nagar, specifically in the B2 B4 area of Chargawa in Gorakhpur. We are quite close to the Medical College, which is the main point of reference for most people who come to see us. The clinic isn't very large. It’s just a couple of rooms where we see people and keep our supplies. Gorakhpur can be very hot in the summer, so we spend a lot of time making sure the coolers are working and the waiting area is comfortable enough. Being in Chargawa, we get a lot of locals who just walk over from their houses. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed. I sit at the front desk most of the time, talking to people and filling out the registers by hand. We don’t use a lot of fancy technology for the records; we like the old way of doing things. The clinic walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but they are fine for now. We focus more on having enough medicine and making sure everyone gets a turn to speak. It’s a basic setup, but it works for the neighborhood. We know the shopkeepers nearby and the people who live in the same block. It’s just a small part of the local community, and we are happy to just keep doing our daily routine here.
