Sangrila Clinic

Our clinic is out in Gida, specifically in Sector 5. This area is more industrial and open than the center of town, so there is a bit more space around the building. The clinic is part of a small block of shops and offices. It’s a quiet place for the most part, except for the trucks that rumble by on the main sector road. We have a front room with a desk and a couple of chairs for waiting. The walls are a simple white, and we have a few windows that let in the afternoon sun. It can get quite warm in the summer, so we keep the blinds drawn. We mostly see the workers from the nearby factories or the families who live in the newer housing blocks around Sector 5. There isn't a lot of fuss here. We keep a record of everyone in a spiral notebook. The sink in the corner sometimes drips, and we’ve been meaning to fix it for a while. We have a small fridge for some of the medicines and a cupboard for bandages and things. Most people come in for small injuries or just a general feeling of being unwell. It’s a straightforward clinic for a working-class neighborhood. We open up six days a week and usually stay until the sun goes down. It’s just a plain, honest place for people in Gida to get looked at.
