Purvanchal Clinic

Purvanchal Clinic is located in Ekla Bazar on the Varanasi Road out here in Gorakhpur. We are right in front of the Shiva Temple, which is where most people look for us when they're coming from the city. Being on the main road means we get a lot of travelers stopping by as well as the locals from the bazaar. The temple bells are a constant sound throughout the day, which gives the place a specific feel. We handle the usual medical stuff that comes up in a town like Gorakhpur. People come in with seasonal flus, minor injuries from work, or just for a general check-up. The clinic itself is quite plain. We have a few chairs for waiting and a small room for consultations. We don't spend much on decorating or anything like that because we'd rather just focus on the patients. The market outside is always noisy with vendors and shoppers, especially in the evenings. It’s a lively spot to be in. We’ve been here for a long time and have seen the road get wider and the traffic get heavier over the years. Despite all the changes in Gorakhpur, our little clinic stays much the same. We just show up every day, open the doors, and see who needs help. It's a simple way to live and work, and it keeps us connected to the people around us. Most days we close up just as the sun goes down.
